On-trend Christmas Gift Ideas For The Interior Design Lover

interior design Christmas gift guide

Being a self confessed interior design addict, I know only too well how difficult it can be to choose gifts for someone who meticulously plans their own interior scheme.

Inspired by artisans and the growing trend of earthy interior schemes, I’ve put together a Christmas gift guide for the interior design lovers, packed full of on-trend pieces that your loved one will cherish this Christmas.

From festive candles for their expertly styled coffee table to rustic tea towels that they won’t mind sticking on the ‘gram, there’s something for every budget and spot in a home.

On-trend Christmas Gift Ideas For The Interior Design Lover

Rustic Mugs

I really am of the sentiment that you can never have too many mugs, right?

A packed full mug cupboard is a happy one, and rustic, artisanal mugs are hugely on trend. What I love about this mug is that it can be personalised too, adding a really unique touch to a mug cupboard.

There are so many other styles like this on Etsy, and featured within their Holiday Hub among other homeware bits that are perfect for perusing with a cup of tea!

Neutral Throw Pillows

Pillows are the mugs of the soft furnishings world, and a good new addition to a plethora of cushions is always warmly welcomed.

Warm terracottas, creams and browns are on-trend for living rooms into 2025 and they pair beautifully with block coloured cushions. This striped throw pillow ticks all the boxes, showcasing the most timeless pattern that goes with any interior scheme.

Handmade Rattan Baskets

Rattan baskets are one of the best ways to store the bits and bobs out of sight, or perhaps your dried food in a pantry?

They’re not only functional for accessing what you need easily, but they serve an aesthetic purpose and look amazing in natural, earthy and boho inspired schemes. This style of basket comes in lots of different sizes.

Small Antique Teal Stool

The antique style milkmaid stool is a firm favourite in a rustic interior. It can be used in any way the recipient wishes, from a bathroom stool, to a side table or just a decorative perch in a hallway.

Earth Tone Neutral Wall Art

Instead of standard prints, why not consider an artist on Etsy? Textured wall art is going to be one of the rising wall art trends in 2025, we are longing for extra, tactile elements in our rooms that instil visual interest.

You can still lean into neutral wall art without it looking beige, the different shades in this are gorgeous!

Luxury Handmade Winter Botanical Christmas Candle

A fraction of the price for a best selling winter candle from a high street brand, who wouldn’t love this?

It just needs a gorgeous coffee table or kitchen side for it to take pride of place on throughout the festive season.

Bee Door Knocker

If you have a loved one that’s recently moved into their home, this makes a charming, heartfelt gift.

The bee door knocker is a total classic and comes in a wide range of finishes. I’m a brass fan at heart so had to feature this little cutie.

Natural Blue Coral

Gifting decor pieces that can be styled on shelving or sideboards is a great gift idea, and styling and finding the right pieces takes time.

This natural coral decor is slightly unusual in colour which makes it even more unexpected, and beautiful in equal measures.

Linen Kitchen Towels

Need I say more? The interior design lover doesn’t need sloganised tea towels, some simple, rustic stripe tea towels will make them very happy.

Subtle, understated, and they won’t mind snapping them in sight for a post on Instagram.

Antique French Pine Resin Terracotta Pot

Finally, I had to include a gorgeous terracotta pot. Gift them on their own or create a beautiful filled Christmas pot like in the image below. You’ll just need to add some fake moss and a pillar candle to recreate the look.

The pot can be reused in different ways throughout the seasons. A gift that really does keep on giving.
