Okay, so I have a slight homeware obsession. I mean it wouldn’t matter if I already had a home to fill it with, but I’ve been purchasing homeware items since well before uni days that are slowly filling up boxes and boxes that never see the light of day. I’m just one of those people that seems to like everything homeware related. But it’s fine, because one day I am going to have my own house (hopefully 2017!) and I’ll finally be able to give everything a pride of place, nothing is probably going to match, but that will give me more of an excuse to buy new homeware at the time right? I’ve picked up a fair few bits over the last few months, most being incredibly reasonably priced, so here are some of my favourite bits from my collective haul!
It wouldn’t be right without kicking this post off with a little copper find. If you love copper like me, you are going to love Trouva who are home to some of the most beautiful products from the UK’s best independent boutiques. Their copper selection is literally to die for, I think I need everything. I’m in love with this Tom Dixon Copper Etch Tea Light Holder* (currently in the sale!), I adore the intricate cut out detailed patterns that illuminate the most gorgeous shadows when lit. I can’t wait to be able to light a candle in this on a fireplace or a bedside table. If you’re looking for something a bit different for your home, Trouva really do have some gorgeous pieces that I haven’t seen online, or in the shops anywhere before.
Who could resist this cute little thing?! I picked this elephant milk jug up from a little boutique store in Fowey, but you can grab a similar one here. It looks cute for flat lays too, but be warned it only holds enough for a little bit of milk!
Oh heyyy! I love this little Sass & Belle dish I picked up in Covent Garden, so cute for holding hair grips, earrings and bits & bobs! Also perfect for creating a cute flat lay too, can you tell I’m obsessed with flat lays at the moment?
July was the best month as it was Flamingo month in Tiger! As well as some other themed bits I picked up these cute glasses, I think they might have some left in a few stores!
Another little find from Sass & Belle, these copper measuring spoons are just the cutest, it gives me a bit of motivation to do some of home baking when I move out too!
The above 3 finds are all from chairty shops, costing me between 50p-£1 for each piece! I do love a good rummage in a chairty shop as you can find so many lovely pieces. I’m collecting as many different mismatched tea cups and saucers as I can at the moment as I just think it looks so cute!
If it’s remotely heart shaped, it’s going in the basket! I picked up 4 of these mini heart dishes from the cutest homeware shop in Barcelona, aren’t shops abroad the best?! These will be perfect for jam, marmite, ketchup and marshmallows!
I had to end this post on a high with yet another copper purchase. This mini pineapple is actually a scented candle, once the top is lifted off it. realistically I don’t plan on actually using the candle, but using it as a display on a bedside table instead. It’s the perfect small size and it was only £3 from Primark, they do a silver version too!
I’ve linked all of the products above where I can, as you can see most of them are so affordable and make perfect props for flat lays, and for intended homeware use! Knowing my luck by the time I move out the copper trend will probably have passed, but for now I’m enjoying every piece of copper that I can get my hands on!
What do you think of my haul? Are you obsessed with shopping for homeware? What have you been purchasing recently?
