A couple of weeks ago when an email winged its way into my inbox from Boohoo asking if I’d like to take over their snapchat and twitter for the evening at MTV Crashes Plymouth I honestly could not believe my luck. It’s probably been one of my favourite/coolest blogging opportunities to date and I can’t thank them enough for inviting me for the evening. Boohoo has been a favourite brand of mine since I was about 16, so to me this was kind of a big deal!! This was the third year that MTV Crashes had arrived in Plymouth, it’s usually a 2 day thing with different acts on both nights. I headed down last Thursday for the first night where the main headlining acts were Jonas Blue, Jess Glynne and Rudimental. It’s safe to say I was pretty excited, and if you didn’t manage to catch their twitter or snapchat story for the evening here’s a sneak peek at some of the action from the evening!
When we arrived at the gates on Thursday, I never in a million years thought the tickets would be for VIP too, ahhhh! The evening got better from the minute we stepped in and the whole VIP experience made the whole evening that much better, think no skanky portaloos to use and not having anyone sweaty pushing into you for the entire evening!
The VIP section was just off from the main stage and you even had a great view of the stage from the bar/food area of VIP, it was the perfect escape from the rain too, are you even really in Plymouth if it doesn’t rain?!
The Devon Vintage Ice Cream Van was serving the VIPs all evening, is there really anything better than free ice cream?! The concept of the ice cream portable van is just so cute too, I could imagine wanting something like this at my future wedding!
As if the VIP area couldn’t get any better, there was a hot air balloon bar! I repeat, a hot air balloon bar! What a fantastic concept, it looked so pretty in the evening when it was lit up by the fairy lights and the flame.
It turns out that VIP’s and posh people in general like their pimms, if I wasn’t tee total I would have definitely been joining in with a glass, it’s such a summery taste and it makes such a pretty picture too!
It was then time to head out to hear one of the first acts of the evening which was Jonas Blue, I am literally obsessed with the song Fast Car so I really enjoyed the set. There was a section to the side of the main crowd which was cornered off for the VIP’s and I literally had the most perfect view, without having to barge my way through to get a glimpse of the stage. It definitely improved my whole experience of the evening as I can’t stand being crushed and not being able to see!

Boohoo kindly kitted myself and my friend out in Boohoo clothing for the evening which was so nice of them! I picked the most beautiful floral playsuit, it had cold shoulders, and a gorgeous lace up detail down the front, and it wasn’t a pig to take off like most playsuits are! I also picked the comfiest, yet prettiest pair of heels ever, I love the chunky wedge and lace up detail. It was the perfect outfit for the evening as it was still fairly warm, and luckily I brought a mac with me for the few showers that we had during the evening!
It was then time for my two favourite line ups for the evening that were Jess Glynne and Rudimental. Rudimental had to be my favourite act of the evening, I’m such a fan of their songs anyway and the whole atmosphere was amazing. It literally was such an amazing evening that I’ll always remember! I can’t wait to see what acts will be headlining for next years, I just hope it will be coming back to Plymouth again!
But of course, the main point of the evening was my twitter & snapchat takeover for Boohoo which I absolutely loved. I love being creative on snapchat and had so much fun documenting the evening, it was such an honour to be given the responsibility to post from their accounts for the evening and I’d just like to say another huge THANK YOU to Boohoo again, you’re the best! The snapchat story may now be long gone, but the memories and pictures that I do have will last a lifetime! If you want to see more from the evening you can also check out my review of the evening over on Boohoo’s Stylefix magazine, read it here!
Did you go to MTV Crashes Plymouth this year? Do you like listening to live music? What do you think of my outfit for the event?
