After the grand opening of Lush Oxford Street had hit every social media platform out there, and the news and pictures of the over 200 + exclusive lush products circulated the net I booked a trip to London that evening, and it was the best thing I ever did. The shop situated in the heart of Oxford Street did nothing but exceed my expectations, 3 floors of bath bombs, shower gels, makeup, perfumes, skin care and a spa contained within the basement floor, what's not to love? I went with the intention of buying a lot of the exclusive products and may have left having spent a small fortune but I was honestly more excited about visiting it than I had ever been about a shop before, you'll agree with me if you're also a Lush lover, it's simply heaven on earth compared to my local box sized Lush shop! I would say that no bath bombs were hurt during the process of this, but unfortunately the windmill bubble bar did not make it home in one piece. It was a distressing time but the remains have since been destroyed in a warm bath with myself and everything has since been forgotten, unfortunately I can't share a picture with you but I'm sure you can imagine how insane a bubble bar based around a wooden stick for a windmill looks! Without further ado I bring you Lush Oxford Street...
The light up signs in the shop are another quirky touch, it's essential to have this kind of reassurance when exclusive lush products can send you into a crazy frenzy!
The massive sinks are a much better way to demonstrate the bath bombs than the current jugs they use in local shops, lush bath bombs really do create the prettiest pictures/art work. Search #Lushtime on Instagram to see more pretty pictures like this!
It was evident that there was going to be a lot of hauling, if you're familiar with my Instagram I am way too obsessed with bubble bars and bath bombs and I took advantage of the exclusive lush products knowing that my local store will probably never stock them. It was a good job James was on hand to carry the basket around as it was SO heavy!
Introducing the exclusive Lush Oxford street products, drum roll please....
Refresher shower jelly
After receiving the Lush Pot O' Gold shower jelly for Easter, I have fallen head over heels in love with them. They are so easy to use and never seem to shrink in size after each use. I picked up the refresher shower jelly which I believe is an exclusive to the store as are the rest of the bits I picked up. It smells so citrussy and fresh, making it perfect for the summer, it smells so good I could almost eat it. They store them in giant fridges in the shop which I thought was cool, there's nothing worse than purchasing a warm, slightly congealed product.
The Experimenter Bath Bomb
Possibly my favourite bath bomb from the haul. This rainbow coloured bath bomb really does not disappoint when it hits the bath water, as you can see I've already used this one and even though it starts fizzing immediately the last little bit takes a while to fizzle out and the colours just keep changing, it smelt slightly similar to fizzy parma violet sweets and my only regret is not buying more of these!
Karma Bubble Bar
I love the colours running through this volcano esque bubble bar and can only imagine it will create a gorgeous smelling and looking bath! I love how this one will probably last for at last 3 baths.
Lava Lamp Bath Bomb
This one was a last minute impulse buy, the tangerine/orangey smell was love at first sniff. I will say this about every one of these but I am seriously excited for a bath with this one, who knew such a small thing could bring so much joy!
Pink Flamingo Bubble Bar
As soon as I saw the flamingo bubble bar on some bloggers Instagrams at the launch day I knew it was the first on my list to buy. I mean who doesn't love a cute, pink flamingo?
Cyanide Pill Bath Bomb
I had to pick this one up just for the looks factor alone, why else would you not want to pick up a bath bomb that looks like a giant pill?! It really is genius, if only every pill could be this enjoyable and we would be on to a winner.
Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Oil
These bath oil melts are another new addition to the products lush offer and they had a big selection of them as you can see above. They dissolve in the bath a bit like a bath bomb would but without the fizz, the oil makes it a really moisturising and relaxing bath, it's perfect for people who suffer from maybe dry or sensitive skin and can't use bath bombs. I picked up this one as it smelt similar to marshmallows, I also brought home a vanilla smelling one for my mum with a real vanilla pod in and a lavender one for my sister (I did also have a list with me to buy for other people!).
Milky Bath Bubble Bar
The main reason I choose bath bombs is on the looks factor alone, as the smell really doesn't bother me, obviously it's an added bonus if the scent is divine but this bubble bar really does tick all the boxes. Its cute glittery shape of a milk bottle is sweet enough but I can already tell it will be a really moisturising and creamy bath to soak in.
Flowering Tea bubble bar
I had to end it with another absolute favourite of mine, the innovative BATH DUNK! Yes, it really is a cross between the nations favourite drink (tea) and has been incorporated into a bubble bar. Simply dunk in the bath and remove when you're happy with how bubbly and strong the colour of the bath is! I just cannot get enough of the new exclusive products, it also smells like a bunch of flowers would. It is super bubbly once dunked in the water and I think it might even last for more than 3 baths, I just think the whole idea of this is just genius!
So there we have it, a look inside my new favourite shop in the world and at some of the new exclusive products! I honestly would have bought the whole shop and brought it home in a suitcase if I had the space and strength to lift it. I already cannot wait to make another trip back and to use the rest of the stuff I picked up, it's fair to say I am stocked up for a while! A few of the exclusive products are available to buy on the Lush website but I couldn't find any of the products from my haul, so in the meantime I would strongly recommend anyone who is a lover of lush to take a trip down there, you will not be disappointed!
I thought I would leave you with one of my favourite signs from the shop - 'Relax take a bath', very relevant and applicable to every day life, I know what I'm off to do now...
