Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Review

As promised in my Make up Revolution hamper prize post I am bringing you a full review of these rather gorgeous Blushing hearts! Makeup revolution sell six different kinds of blushing hearts which I'm adamant on owning all of them! After only being introduced to this brand a few weeks ago it has certainly transformed my life, I cant seem to find any fault with the price, packaging or quality, there really is no catch with their products!
As I've mentioned before in the previous post the packaging just does it for me! Its so beautiful and eye catching and even the heart shape for the blushers is just genius and the compact size is perfect for storage.
Triple Baked Highlighter - £4.99
I have only been wearing a highlighter since last year and have been wearing the sleek face contour kit one ever since. I was excited to try this and the highlighter is a bit pinker but not as sheer and white as the one I wear now, you can tell more on the swatched image below what it looks like. I usually apply my highlighter with my fingers as it's much easier to target specified areas than with a brush. I find that its quite difficult to get much pay off with this highlighter with my fingers though, I think this will probably get easier once the product has been used more. However, I do really like the tone of this highlighter as I find some of them are far too shimmery, so in that respect I really do like it. How do you all apply powdered highlighter? I would love to know some tips!
Triple Baked Bronzer - £4.99
I am a prolific bronzer user and will use anything that might help me achieved that sun kissed look. I love the colour of this bronzer as it sort of already has an inbuilt highlighter as the colour is very shimmery once applied. For me its the perfect colour for bronzer as it's not to dark and I prefer to build the colour up gradually. I usually pop this over the top of some blusher on my cheekbones, jawline, sides of my nose and around my hairline with a contouring brush.
Triple Baked Blusher - £4.99
I have never been much of a wearer of blusher as I always have ridiculously red cheeks anyway! Blushers which are just one block colour really scare me too as I always find myself putting on way too much than I need. This triple baked blusher has converted me! The 3 colours blended together don't make the colour as scary or pink. The initial swatch of colour does give a lot of pay off but I am wary of this and usually blow off the excess powder on the brush. I use some of this lightly with a brush on the top part of cheek bones as it really helps to contour my face, I then follow this up with some bronzer on top which helps the blusher to blend in even more.
Swatches on my arms never end well,. So swatching out onto a pice of paper really does show you how the colour exactly comes out and before its blended into my skin. As you can see none of the colours are too bold or bright, for me it really is love at first swatch.
For only £4.99 each the quality and look of the product is fab. The colours are so wearable and they last on my skin all day. My favourites are definitely the triple baked bronzer and blusher as they work so well together.
If you're looking for new contouring products in your life, these might be what you're looking for! I have not used my sleek contour kit since as I much prefer the blended colours than just one block of bronzer or blusher. As I mentioned at the start Makeup Revolution sell a further three blushing hearts which look just an amazing as these, they are definitely going to be on my Christmas list this year!

What do you think of Makeup revolution? Have you tried these before? What do you think of the blushing hearts?

OOTD | Missguided lovin'

Necklace - River Island
Boots* - Bank

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! This weekend James came to stay so I thought it would be time that I showed him the sights of Dartmoor! Living in Plymouth does have it s benefits, as you are a stones throw away from the sea as well as the moors. I thought it would be fitting to shoot in an empty graveyard with it being Halloween and everything this weekend! I am loving this Missguided duo, the dress is such a staple and is from their basics range costing me something ridiculous like £7.99, it is perfect for work and with any kind of cardigan/jacket that you can think of. I fell in love with these loop knitted cardigans, they have them in quite a few colours but oxblood is my favourite kind of colour for autumn and I just love it so much, it's so big and warm and I almost feel like a sheep in it! It's such a perfect combo for an autumnal day and it really didn't set me back much when there was 15% student discount running at the time too!

What do you think of this outfit? Do you love this type of cardigan? What do you think of the location of the pictures?

OOTD | Hedonia

Dress* - Hedonia
Scarf - Primark
Leather Jacket - Bershka
Boots* - Bank

As much as I love oxblood and deep berry colours for A/W, my heart will never stray far from the monochrome trend. Hedonia are on point with this dress, it offers the perfect contrasting colours, and I absolutely adore the mesh overlay skirt which adds volume and shape to the bodice. It's probably my favourite dress ever, it makes for the perfect day look with a grungy leather jacket and a super thick primark scarf, only £7 by the way.. bargain! I know that this dress would look amazing for a night out too in either the winter or summer with some chunky heels and gold accessories, it's got a stunning cross over body at the back too which definitely makes a statement look. It's the most perfect versatile dress, and I really do feel like a princess in it! If this dress wasn't perfect enough Hedonia also sell this dress in the opposite colours so a black bodice and white mesh skirt, which is part of Hedonias new autumn/winter stock which I strongly recommend a peek at!

I hope you all have a brilliant weekend! What are you all up to? What do you think of this dress? Do you like this outfit? Have you heard of Hedonia before?

Winter footwear Wishlist

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
Long hot bubble baths (lush of course), candles, snow, hot chocolates, films, Christmas. Winter really cannot get any better for me, not forgetting the amazing footwear that comes with it. Winter offers so many different styles than summer and I am currently besotted with all of the above!

Fluffy sandals are just the perfect, dainty and feminine heels, I'm currently toying over a colour to wear to my graduation, but the height of these is debatable. I am tempted to buy a plain pair and attach the marabou myself, anyone interested in a DIY post on this?! Boots in general are my favourite type of shoes for winter, long, ankle, thigh length, I'm not too bothered. I fell in love with this long pair of ASOS boots though after seeing them on a few bloggers and they look like the perfect fit, and not as if they will fall down all the time. Lastly you need at least one pair of flats in your life for winter if you can bear the cold exposed feet, I'm always partial to a bit of leopard print and its a huge trend on accessories this winter. Last but not least is this incredibly sparkly pair of brogues, I just want these because, well sparkles! Whats not to love?!

What do you think of my picks? Which pair is your favourite? What are your favourite shoes to wear in the winter?

OOTD | The blanket cape

Top - Allsaints
Blanket cape* - Britfash
Fur scarf - Topshop
Jeans - Primark (DIY rips)
Boots* - Bank
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the blanket cape this season. I also featured a camel one in my LFW day 2 post. They are just the cosiest type of thing that can easily be thrown into any outfit as an extra cover up, perfect for the crisp cold weather. Britfash have an amazing selection, I'm really fond of their tartan and plaid patterned ones especially. I of course had to pick the cape with the least colour, I love greys and blacks a lot at the moment, mostly because it can be worn with many more outfits than those which are just bold colours. The perfect autumn outfit for me really is ripped jeans, a chunky knit jacket or cape, fur and some chunky boots, who agrees? Blanket capes really are the perfect accessory to have this winter, what are you waiting for!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Do you like blanket capes? Do you like this outfit? How would you wear one?

Makeup Revolution hamper prize!

Makeup revolution has hit the beauty world by storm, an affordable, beautiful and well crafted beauty brand. Despite reading endless reviews on their products and admiring how pretty the items are I had yet to buy into the brand. Probably due to the fact that I rely so much on buying in stores like Boots where I can see the product first, my Superdrug also don't stock them. Last week I couldn't believe it when I found out that I had won London Beauty Queen makeup revolution hamper competition! To say I was over the moon was an understatement. Then a few days later this amazing hamper of goodies worth over £50 arrived at my door and boy was I excited to explore!
With so many gorgeous products in the hamper I wanted to give you a low down on all the different bits. I will then do individual reviews of these so you can see them swatched properly, I think it would have made this post very long else! Nevertheless I think from these pictures you can appreciate how stunning and beautifully packaged they are.
Blushing hearts
Out of the whole hamper, if I had to pick these would definitely be my favourite products, solely on looks. The packaging is flawless and could definitely be mistaken for Too Faced products, another brand that I absolutely love. Packaging probably is the make or break for me when buying new products rather than how good the product actually is, I'm sure we all do it! The compact sizes of these are great too, I have loved using the sleek contour palette for the last year so I'm ready to give these a go now! I have reviewed these in full here.
I actually prefer to use lip glosses over lipsticks as I find them much easier to apply and you don't have to put so much care into it. I absolutely adore all of these colours. The nudes are my favourites and the darker berry type of tones are perfect to wear right now too!
What I especially love about these is the unique shape. I've never seen something quite like it but I think these are much better to store in bags and it goes without saying that the packaging of them is just genius!
I love makeup go palette £6.49
This eye palette is so dreamy, not only does it contain eyeshadows but also a contour blush, bronzer and highlighter! This will definitely be the type of palette which is perfect for taking away on holidays as it is multi use.
I love a good old bronzer, it's definitely the item I use all year round because I like to have that slightly tanned kind of look. I have used so many different brands of bronzers in the past so I'm looking forward to seeing how this matches up to that.
I've been using the benefit browzings for the past 2 years and I literally can't believe there is still loads left! I like how this one offers a few different shades for brows though as it's really hard to decide on what colour when you just see what it looks like in a shop. This little tube of tint for your eyebrows has really intrigued me as I have never used anything like this, it might be worth checking out some reviews first, I don't want to use too much of it at once, it might be a disaster haha!
Such beautiful packaging again. Thumbs up from me Makeup Revolution!
I love makeup heart sin - 16 eyeshadows palette £7.99
Seriously, this is the most stunning eye palette I have ever owned to date. The assortment of brights and neutral hued tones is fab. Looks wise they look like really rich and pigmented colours so I can't wait to have a play around with this set. The mirror with the names of the eyeshadows is also a really good help and I like that it comes with an eyeshadow brush too.
I am naked £5.99
Maybe I'm boring but the only eye shadows I tend to currently wear are neutral tones and earthy colours so when I opened this palette and saw the collection of colours I fell in love. At first glance it could even be mistaken for the Charlotte Tilbury palettes which have a similar assortment of colours to this.
The palette also comes with a nude lipstick to match the beautiful eye shadows. This is the perfect day time look for me as I adore nude lips. Can't wait to give this a proper test!

What can I say, once you've experienced Makeup Revolution in your life you never go back! I hope you love all of these products as much as I do, as I have said I will be reviewing these in full over the next few weeks so look out for that! I'm so excited to give these products a proper test out now.

Do you like makeup revolution products? Which products are your favourites? What product would you like to test out? Do you like the packaging?
