September Degustabox review + Discount code!

Firstly I would just like to say ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!! Unfortunately I still have to go to work but I'm on back shifts this week so I still have a lovely morning ahead of me and a birthday weekend planned. I will be doing a huge post on what I get up to next week! Anyway enough about my birthday it's that time of the month again when the monthly food subscription box Degustabox* arrives, aka my favourite time of the month! At only £12.99 per month I think its such a great price for a lovely surprise box of goodies each month, what's not to love?!
Each box contains 9-14 surprise food products. Opening the box is always my favourite part, on to what lovely treats I got this month...
Burts Lentil Waves - RRP £0.69 each
I love the original Burts crisps so I knew these would follow suit. These really do not taste like your average crisps which I guess is why they are only 99 calories but they taste so much better than ordinary crisps, the flavours are really strong too but if you're not fond off strong tastes the lightly salted are a perfect alternative!
Bahlsen Pick up! - RRP £1.69 per pack
These are the most delicious biscuits that I have ever eaten, seriously!!The milk chocolate ones are not too dissimilar from BN biscuits but they are way better, the chocolate inside is delicious. The white chocolate ones are new and are probably slightly sweeter, they are perfect snack sizes for lunch boxes too. Always on the look out for new exciting products for my lunches!
Jordans simply granola - RRP £2.69
I developed a big obsession with granola in Finland and it's just the nicest type of cereal to have. Jordans offers crunchy baked oats with a hint of honey so it's really not that sweet, I love mixing it in with natural yoghurt too as it gives it a bit of natural sweetness without it being too bad for you.
Righteous salad dressings - RRP £2.19 for 3
I am yet to try these as I don't really eat salads. But I can imagine that these salad dressings would make any salad really tasty as they are full of 100% natural ingredients.
Elizabeth Shaw Dark Chocolate mint thins - RRP £2.50
The chocolate offerings in the box are my favourite every month and if you love after eight mints and matchmakers then you will love these. I would say these are a slightly upper class version of the both of them and they are so moreish! They are also really thin so its a good excuse to have more than one...
La Vieja Fabrica Marmalade jam - RRP £1.59
This jam is all the way from Seville who are most famous for their fantastic Seville oranges. This marmalade has a lovely sharp, orange taste and is a perfect summery flavour which I love on some toast!
Little Miracles - RRP £1.59 per bottle
This is the product of the month and I can see why as these drinks are delicious!! It was my first time to have them but I have heard so many things about them recently. They are blended with organic tea and fruit juice with ginseng and acai making it a perfect pick up drink whilst being healthy too. They are available at most convenience shops so its definitely going to be a drink I turn to when I'm out and about!
Carnation cook with it! - RRP £1.65 per unit
I've also not used these before but I have used a lot of other products from their range. These are a cooking creme which are a great addition to certain creamy dishes such as quiches and soups. They also have half the fat of single cream and they are so quick and easy to use with your cooking.
Crabbies alcoholic fruits - £1.50
Crabbies alcohol free - £1.20
Ginger beer is my ultimate favourite drink!! The non alcoholic option is infused with lemon, it tastes like lemonade but has the distinct taste of ginger which is just so good, i love the packaging as well, its looks really fancy! My dad tried the alcoholic fruits and said that it was just as nice, it basically tastes like a soft drink which makes it so good and for me it seems like a much better option than fruit ciders. They come in three different flavours to choose from too.
The info cards, recipes and vouchers are so useful for the box as it really helps to find out more about the products and where to purchase them, as all of the items in the box are always new products to the market. I will without a doubt be using the vouchers as the Bahlsen biscuits were just too good!!
Out of the three boxes I have reviewed this was by far my favourite box, probably because I loved almost everything! The biscuits, chocolate and drinks were my favourite and I'm praying that my local stores stock the Bahlsen biscuits as they actually complete my life! I have said it before but I just love the concept of this box with getting surprise food products to your door each month, there is also no contract with Degustabox so you can try it out for just one month if you so wish. With Christmas coming up I think it would make the perfect and different present for someone!

If you need anymore convincing as to why you need a food box in your life I also reviewed the July and August Degustabox! You can find Degustabox on Facebook and Twitter too! They have also kindly offered all of my readers a £3.00 discount when registering ,just enter this code: 4784593

Have you had a Degustabox before? Would you consider subscribing to this food box? Which products would be your favourite?

OOTD | Chunky knit

Shirt - New Look
Jumper - H&M
Scarf - Primark
Jeans - Primark
Shoes - Primark

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend! I am just at the start of a very hectic week, very exciting things including mine and my dads birthday yippee as well as some other things I'm really not looking forward to but I'm hoping to still get up some regular posts this week, I have soo much exciting content coming too!

I think I underestimated how bright the light was yesterday but thank god for editing tools! This white shirt has literally been worn to death despite only buying it 2 weeks ago. I urge you all to buy one, it really is an autumn staple for me when it comes to layering. This chunky knit is my favourite from H&M, I am so tempted to get them in all of the colours as they literally offer the most effortless casual get up. I had to throw my trusty tartan scarf into the mix which really helps to break up the grey colours. The selection of Primark scarfs is amazing at the moment, well worth a look and at £7 its a good excuse to buy more than one!

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like chunky knit jumpers? Do you think a white shirt is a staple item?

The Royal William Bakery | Cake heaven

Last week after one afternoon at work my family and I headed down to a place in Plymouth called The Royal William Bakery which hence the name is situated in a gorgeous location by the sea in Plymouth called the The Royal William Yard. I have frequently visited many of the other food places there but The bakery was one I had yet to visit. My mum and I had a pact that when I got a job she would take me. Its the quirkiest place I've ever visited and it's quite similar to the Jam Jar cafe which I mentioned in my Newquay post and I had to share this little gem with you! Cue cake slices the size of your head....
Exactly as it says on the sign! I'm not sure if i'm so keen on the whole concept as even though it's laid out in black in white it's just awkward knowing what to do if you've not visited before.
The old school benches laid out makes a real difference to your every day cafe and the whole place has a really rustic feel to it.
Once we found a table it was time to pick a cake!
Biggest victoria sponge cake I ever did lay eyes on... and only £3 for a HUGE slice!
I had seen pictures of the bakery's cakes before but I didn't realise the sheer size, I definitely said to myself before I went in that I was going to have a slice to myself too. So that didn't happen...
Sharing two slices between four of us was definitely the right idea, my stomach would have probably exploded if I had one whole slice! We picked angel cake and coffee and walnut cake mmm. We also got some tea to go with it, served in shabby chic Cornish ware.
The angel cake or as I like to call it battenburg was delicious! The frosting was so sweet and very filling!
It really was hard to pick out of the two but the coffee and walnut was definitely my favourite!
The cake was quickly polished off!
You could also purchase the Cornish ware too which I would definitely consider if I had my own house in the country! I  had a great first visit to the bakery, I think the cake slices are definitely far too big though but the prices are fairly reasonable. I also hoped there would have been more selection but I guess we did visit at the end of the day. I definitely have to return for some breakfast at the bakery which looks even more amazing. Overall It's a lovely location if you want a good slice of cake and cup of tea!

Do you like the look of the bakery? Have you visited here before? Whats your favourite cafe?

OOTD | Waterfall cardigan

Waterfall cardigan* - CelebLook
Vest top - River Island
Jeans - Primark (DIY rips)
Heels - Deichmann
Necklace - Ebay

I am definitely having somewhat of a love affair with greys, blacks and beiges this year! I'm usually one who loves a bit of colour but these types of colours are always what I associate with autumn and they look so effortless when put together. This waterfall cardigan from CelebLook is a favourite of mine, I love the way the fabric falls and the contrasting colours and materials look great together. The PVC sleeves are slightly too hot for this unusually warm weather at the moment though. I'm still patiently waiting for the weather to behave and get colder!

This is a perfect go to casual look for the next couple of months. There will be so many upcoming autumn/winter outfit posts like this, take a sneak peek at my Autumn clothing haul if you want to see what pieces I have been snapping up!

What do you think of this outfit? What are your favourite autumnal colours to wear?

Autumn clothing haul!

I cannot remember the last time I did a haul post..Being a student and then being unemployed doesn't provide the best opportunity to go on a mad shopping spree! If you read my post a couple of weeks ago you will know that I got my first grown up girl job and so this is the product of my first pay day!! It was better reason than any to properly treat myself... Cue lots of gorgeous autumn clothing staple pieces!
Skirt - Primark £8
Scarf - Primark £7
As a lot of my readers know I love nothing more than a Primark bargain, and a lot of these items are from their new autumn range. I am SO happy that I found this black fluffy skirt, I love all of the fluffy co-ords on Missguided but this skirt is a massive fraction of the price, they also have a lurid green one for sale if you dare...Their scarfs are on form this year too, there are so many tartan ones in different colours and this one is so big that it could easily act as a blanket cape too!
 Dress - Primark £15
I've loved buying work wear recently, probably to do with the fact that I have a job now.. I adore the peter pan collar and this style which looks like a top and skirt. I would quite happily wear this out on the weekend too with some bright accessories.
 Shirt - Primark £10
Hat - Primark £7
Again, I bought this shirt with work in mind, you've gotta love polka dots! This hat has already featured in both of my LFW posts and it's a firm autumn/winter staple for me. It provides the perfect solution to my bad hair days,I get far too many!
Jumper - H&M £14.99
I rarely buy from H&M but their new stock is effortless for autumn, I just love the ashen grey colours. The skirt is perfect for work but I will be wearing this casually regardless as I love the grid/dog tooth print for autumn! Super excited for the appearance of chunky knits too, I can't wait to layer this over some shirts and ripped jeans!
T-shirt - River Island £26
Vest top - River Island £10
I have needed a grey top for ages, I have so many clothes but literally lack the basics. This t-shirt is literally amazing and was an impulse buy! I think the iconic eyes and lips are SO cute and as it's oversized I cant wait to layer it with skinny jeans and long cardigans/duster coats! The colour is right up my street too.
Heart decoration - Primark £2
This picture just signifies christmas to me for some reason, ONLY 3 MONTHS TO GO by the way.. Christmas excites me far too much, anyone else? Anyway, the blanket cape has already made an appearance at LFW and I am willing for the weather to start behaving and become cold so I can wear it again! The brogues were another great staple buy, although my feet don't seem to agree, ouch! Last but not least I had to include this cute heart decoration from Primark, although it looks christmassey I'm going to use it now as its so gorgeous! If you haven't been in there yet their home range for Christmas is looking amazing, I cant wait to pick up a few more bits!
I Hope you've enjoyed haulin' with me! Fear not, I have a feeling there will be many more of these in the coming months! I hope you're all having a fab weekend whatever you're up too!

What do you think of my haul? Do you like reading hauls? Which items are your favourite? Link me up to your recent hauls, I would love to have a snoop!
