OOTD | Festival style

Dress - Pixie Lott for Lipsy
Leather jacket - Bershka
Sandals - Faith
Bag - H&M
Phone case* - Sampson & Christie | Link

I have always loved festival style looks as i think that festivals are a great way to dress however you want and still be able to get away with it, despite the fact that i have never been to one myself haha!

Last week i discovered a new British brand on twitter called Sampson & Christie who display their gorgeous designs on a whole range of their beautifully made leather bags, purses and phone cases. They kindly sent me one of their gorgeous phone cases which i absolutely love. You can tell that the quality of the leather is excellent and i love the laser cut design of the blue butterflies against the cream which really helps the intricate design to stand out. I've never had a secure phone cover for my phone before either and i know that while my phone is inside it that its safe and free from scratches as the magnetic fastener over the top ensures that it wont slip out. I've had too many near misses with my phone in the past that i knew it was time for my phone to have a good quality case. The phone case fits in so well with this festival look and it would really help to keep it safe and dry while camping or in the day!

My favourite festival looks have to include tassles of some kind which is where this dress comes in. I actually bought this dress a few years ago from the Pixie Lott range at Lipsy. The layering of the lace, pom poms and tassles is beautiful and it screams out festival! Because its cream you can accesorize this any way that you want. I went for a biker/grungey look with the leather jacket and i love how it goes. If i wanted to go for a more feminine look i would go for lots of flowers in my hair and around my wrists and maybe teamed with a pastel or denim jacket!

I hope you all have a fab weekend! What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the phone case? What are your favourite festival looks? Are you going to any festivals this year?

OOTD | Pastel cage dress

Dress* - Crusade Clothing
Sandals - Topshop
Clutch - Primark

I was lucky enough to be picked to be one Crusade Clothing's VIP bloggers, alongside two others a couple of months ago. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen that i also got sent a gorgeous tropical print playsuit which i cant wait to take away on holiday with me and which will be featured in another  blog post soon! I am over the moon with this dress that they sent to me. I adore the pastel colour and the cage like neckline is so different and something which i haven't seen before, its so delicate and really is eye catching. The Dress is lined by two materials so it isn't see through, always something that i worry about with light coloured clothing. It really is a beautiful light weight material which hangs perfectly and the fit is really flattering. I cant actually find the direct link of this dress online so i'm not sure if its being stocked anymore, but they do have some similar style dresses with the detail in the middle of the dress which is equally as pretty and different! My favourite primark pastel clutch co ordinates with this dress perfectly,i really do love pastels far too much. I also plan on wearing this in the evenings, i need to find a perfect pair of pastel heels or wedges first though!

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the neckline? Have you heard or shopped with Crusade clothing before?

Swimwear wishlist

1. River Island / 2. Littlewoods / 3. Triangl / 4. thisisalovesong / 5. Primark £11  / 6. Asos / 7. Topshop / 8. Primark £11

I hope you're all having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend! With my holiday coming up in the next month now i have started panicking as i still haven't found the bikini or bikinis for me! Making a wishlist has actually really helped though and i am definitely going to be getting more than one of these (i already have number 1!) and hopefully it might help some of you if you are also on the lookout for the elusive bikini!

I've picked a selection all ranging in price so there's something that could suit everyone's budget. Firstly, i am incredibly impressed with Primarks bikinis this year. In the past i have never bought from there because i feel like so many people will end up wearing the same one as you on holiday, which to a certain extent will still happen but i'm happy to move on from this because they have done amazingly well! You can view their whole range here. Number 5 and 8 are my favourites though and for £11 for the set is seriously an amazing price, now i just have to hope they have my size!

Triangl bikinis are a bloggers dream, i think almost everyone owns one apart from me! The wet suit like material is a winner as it ensures that everything stays in place. The variety of colours and styles is brilliant, i just think its a little too out of price range for now sadly!

I'm absolutely loving River islands collection this year, i have already bought number 1 which i love! I never thought i would be one to wear a swimming costume on holiday but why not when its this neon and this amazing. I'm really becoming more aware of sun damage now too, as i am a tanaholic when it comes to holidays even if i can just protect my stomach that bit more i am happy! I also love number 6 which is also by River Island at Asos. All of the tropical prints are in this summer and the fit of this one looks really flattering.

Rounding up the last 3 bikinis, i never thought to look at the littlewoods sight as I've always associated it with older people but how wrong could i be?!Slap my wrists. A blogger pointed me in the direction of number 2 and i knew i had to have it (but sadly they don't have my size :(), black will always be a favourite bikini colour of mine, but the cut is so flattering and sexy without being to showy. Number 3 is also a cute number, i love the sheer colour of it and its very different to standard bikinis on the market, i think you could get away with wearing this at the gym haha! Last up is number 7 the topshop beauty, I've never seen a bikini with  capped sleeves before which i think is so cute combined with the floral pattern, its a winner in my eyes! Now i just need to decided which ones to buy, decisions!

What do you think of my bikini picks? Which one is your favourite? What are your favourite places to shop for swimwear?

OOTD | Tailored shorts

Top - Zara
Shorts - River Island | Link
Boots* -Bank

Eek yesterday was officially my last ever day at university, its still not quite sunk in that i wont be coming back in September! Its crazy to think how fast 3 years can go, i really wouldnt have changed my experiences for the world as i have had an amazing time, i just think that i've grown shy of the student lifestyle now and i am more than ready to head into the real world! I know many other bloggers are finishing up their degrees at uni too, so good luck to you all! Also as you may have noticed my blog has had a well overdue new blog design! I am SO happy with it and love the simplicity of it, what do you all think? Please do let me know in the comments below!

I headed back to the same park to get some outfit pictures as i received some really lovely feedback about the setting and it really makes my outfits seems 100 times prettier than they are haha! I am loving fitted/tailored shorts this summer and i picked this gorgeous baby pink pair up from River Island, i have a pair of trousers similar to this with the same high waisted fit and they are so flattering and smart, they could easily be worn to work as well. They also had these in a few other colours, i'm tempted to go back for another pair! Striped ensembles are one of my staple looks and i own far TOO many stripey tops/dresses galore. The top looks perfect with the shorts and the sleeves are so different and fancy to anything else i own. I really love expressing my dress sense but i do feel that i stick out like a sore thumb in Plymouth, anyone else feel like this in your home town, other than London of course?! Oh well, as the saying goes, 'People will stare. Make it worth their while!'.

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like tailored shorts? What are your go to looks this summer? What do you think of my new blog design?

OOTD | Floral jeans

Denim shirt - Primark
Crop top - Miss Selfridge
Joni Jeans - Topshop | Link
Sandals - Topshop

Now that i'm more or less living back home in Plymouth i'm on a mission to take outfit pictures in more adventurous places and not just in my garden. Yesterday i found the most perfect place in a local park nearby, the most beautiful pink flowers which made the ideal pretty back drop for my photos, there was barely anyone around either which was perfect as i hate having people watch!

After spending weeks trying to get my hands on the popular pink floral joni jeans from topshop i gave up. But, it must have been fate because these beautiful baby blue floral jeans came online a couple of weeks ago and i knew straight away that i had to have them. The colour suits me so much more than the pink pair would have done, they really are the most perfect pair of jeans for spring, joni jeans offer the perfect fit and i urge anyone to try them if you havent already! I've teamed it with my absolute bargain denim shirt from Primark which I've demonstrated in previous outfit posts that it goes with everything!

I'm also very excited to tell you all that my blog is finally having a makeover that it truly deserves yippee, i really cannot wait to see the final result! Anyway i hope you all have a lovely day!

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like floral jeans? Do you like joni jeans? What do you think of this photo setting?

Travel | Tampere, Finland

Tampere-pyynikki
I hope you all had a lovely week and weekend! I apologise for my lack of blog posts last week but all will resume to normal this week. As you may have known i was in Finland last week for a few days, i returned from Finland a year ago after completing a year on exchange there. After spending so long in a different country it was inevitable that i was going to miss the place, Finland is so different to anywhere i have ever visited before, the country really is one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited and i was so excited to go back! Most people don't really know a lot about Finland, maybe only about Helsinki and Lapland but there is so much more to Finland than these places, even though those places are incredible! The city that i stayed in is called Tampere and its roughly 2 hours from Helsinki. Ryanair do direct flights to the city for £20 single which is just amazing, our bus transfers to Stansted cost more than the flights put together! It was still pretty cold when we visited, although it was nice to see the city without it being covered by snow, as almost 6 months while i was there it just snowed continually and with temperatures as low as -30 degrees! I hope you enjoy looking at my pictures, i had SO many so I've selected some of the best to explain what i did on my trip, although its still very picture heavy!
Tampere
Finland is home to some of the most stunning lakes, after all they are known as the land of Islands and water. Flying in to Tampere is spectacular because so much is dominated by water and forests. Almost 70% of Finland is made up of forests which is a fun fact for you! The lakes in Tampere are breathtaking and if you follow me on Instagram i uploaded a video of this one in particular, they are so tranquil and peaceful which makes it such a precious moment in our busy lives.

One of my fvaourite places to visit in Tampere is a place called Pyynikki. Its only a 15 minute walk from the centre and the views are definitely worth it. The Pyynikki observation tower is amazing and after walking up lots of stairs you can admire the amazing views across the whole of Tampere. Afterwards its almost obligatory to go inside to the Kahvila (cafe) and sample one of Tamperes specialties which is the munkki. It looks like a normal English sugary doughnut but believe me it sooo much better than that! Afterwards you can walk further down to a beautiful beach and appreciate the serenity of the surrounding lakes, it really is such a perfect place.

During our stay we stayed at the Dream Hostel in Tampere. I've stayed in a fewhostels before so im not disimilar with how they work. This was by far the best hostel i have ever stayed at, eveyrthing was so clean so i was very impressed. The kitchen area was huge, providing free tea and coffee all day. There was even a section in the fridge of free food that people could use if they'd forgotten something. There was lots of different rooms all labelled with places in Tampere. Our room held 16 bunk beds but there were only another 3 people in there and it was so quiet so i managed to have some great nights sleep there. The location was also brilliant as it was so central to town and it only cost 22 euros per night which is roughly about £18, you literally can not go wrong. I know its luxurious to stay in hotels but we spent so long out during the day and only used the hostel to sleep in so it would have been silly not to. I think staying in a hostel is a great experience as you get to meet lots of different people from other countries which is always interesting. Finnish people are so accommodating and friendly and i literally could not fault the service that we received and i will definitely be returning.

James and i also found our lock that we placed in Finland in December 2012 albeit a little rusty! Its not quite the love lock bridge in Paris but this is still really special and it was amazing to go back and hunt our little lock down!

Finnish-food
Finland is also renowned for the amazing cakes, ice cream and chocolate that they sell, they even have national days dedicated to cakes. They also have amazing indoor markets selling them as well as other foods, nothing like the markets we have in the UK. Its always surprises me how many people eat cakes there because the nation as a whole are incredibly fit and slim, in fact I've never really seen anyone overweight out there at all! I of course fitted back into the Finnish lifestyle nicely and had my fair share of cakes out there as well as stocking up on Finnish chocolate to bring home!
While we were in Tampere the local elections were taking places with huts up in the centre trying to make people vote for them by handing out various things. I'm not complaining as i got given this pretty flower, Tampere really is amazing there is something going on all the time!
Tampere-kahvila
These were all the highlights from the trip but James and i did SO much more than this, i also got to meet up with one of my best friends from exchange. It was so lovely to see her again and we spent 4 hours catching up in Silinkari (the best cafe!) and looking around the indoor market!

Thanks for reading! I definitely recommend anyone to visit Finland if you ever have a chance its definitely my favourite country in the world and i cannot wait to go back again! Have you ever visited Finland before? Do you like the look of Finland? Do you like staying in hostels?
