OOTD Floral print

Jumper - Romwe// Leggings - Calzedonia// Cut out boots - Primark// Necklace - Miss Selfridge

Firstly, sorry for the bad lighting and the not very attractive background! I have just moved into my uni accommodation this week and this was the best place to take a picture indoors today,I'm sure I will find a better location at some point!

I'm actually surprised at how warm it has felt, I was definitely too hot in this beautiful jumper! I purchased this from Romwe at the start  of the summer after seeing it on Pearls and Poodles Instagram and I knew I had to have it as the floral pattern is soo pretty. I have to wear it more like a dress though as this was a small size and it absolutely swamps me and as you can see I had to roll the sleeves up,I love the way the end of the sleeves and the bottom of the jumper look like cob webs, its just something a bit different to the normal straight cut.

I'm still loving these Primark cut out boots, I would suggest wearing socks with them though as my feet are red raw from where they have rubbed ow!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend! What do you think of this outfit?

Loreal Paris Nude Magique Anti-Redness CC Cream

Ever since i have been little i have suffered from redness on my cheeks. When you're younger everyone thinks rosy cheeks are cute but when i hit my teenage years i wanted to do everything i could to cover it up. I have always struggled to find products to conceal the redness as its makes my skin tone look uneven and makes me quite self conscious. It is a fact that creams containing yellow or green are the best at covering up redness and I had previously tried one by benefit which was a yellow stick/concealer but they no longer stock it and i cant remember the name oops, but it didn't work at all for me and putting foundation on top just made it look cakey. So when the release of Loreal Paris's anti-redness cc cream came along i had to give it a try.

The CC cream is a colour correcting cream which acts to combat any redness,it is of a liquid consistency just like foundation but without the thickness of it,it comes out green but when rubbed into your skin it blends and matches to your unique skin colour or so it says. The coverage is quite thin and it recommends applying foundation on top or another layer of the cc cream if you want any added coverage. I have tried all 3 ways of wearing it and here is my verdict.

I have lived in the cc cream this summer as i have had a tan so i haven't needed as much coverage, firstly it does not fully cover my red cheeks which disappointed me,however it did even out my skin tone slightly. I would fully recommend using this is you suffer from spots as it completely covers up that unsightly redness you get with them, so i would use this as almost a concealer on the spots underneath my foundation and it really helps to make your skin look flawless. I also applied 2 layers of this to see the difference and this time it really helped the redness fade, however it made me look orange, seeing as it is meant to match to your skin tone it really put me off using it again because it made my skin look unnatural (towie esque),the same happened when i also applied foundation over the top of one layer of the cc cream. Because the cc cream is a universal shade i definitely wouldn't recommend it to people with pale skin as it will be more than likely too dark for your skin tone.

Although, I will be repurchasing this again and as the winter months approach i will be using this on just the patches that need it with foundation over the top, as it is great for evening out skin tone and covering up spot redness. But for me i am still on the search for the elusive product to conceal my redness!!

Do you have any suggestions? Have you tried any cc creams?

OOTD Tartan

Aran Jumper - Jack Wills(old)// Jeans - Topshop// Scarf - Primark// T Bar cut out boots - Primark

Since coming back from holiday i cant believe how much colder the weather has become, my knit jumpers have officially all made a reappearance! My feet are featuring my new cut out boots that i recently got from Primark for only £12!! I was so pleased when i found these as i have been looking for cut out boots forever and similar ones to these from Topshop were too pricey for me. These are perfect for day wear as they are flat and i think i really struggle wearing heels throughout the day. I also picked this tartan scarf up from Primark recently which is a brilliant addition to my A/W wardrobe, its great because its a simple accessory which can brighten up a plain outfit and tartan is my favourite trend for this season!

I am also still loving Aran knitted jumpers,i don't think they really ever go out of fashion and this one was from Jack Wills a couple of years ago and it is still my favourite as i love the big brown buttons and the chunky knit of it,it was an expensive buy but considering 2 years later i am still wearing it it was worth the investment!

What do you think of my outfit? Do you like the tartan trend?

Deborah Milano 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadow

Since i began blogging i have been flabbergasted by the amount of great beauty brands that i hadn't previously heard of and Deborah Milano UK is one of them! If you haven't heard of them before you can find out more about them here. Their products are all at affordable prices and they sell makeup and skincare products as well as products for men, there really is something for everything! Today i am reviewing their 24Ore Velvet Eye Shadow* and the shade i picked is 18-Peacock which costs a mere £5.50!

Lets start with the packaging of this product,i love how small the shape of it is which makes it so easy to slip into a handbag/makeup bag as it doesn't take up much room. I love how the eye shadow is encased in swirls with their iconic symbol in the middle. The little set also comes with a one sided sponge applicator which is brilliant if you are travelling or always on the go.

I am in love with this colour, because for a start it inst your typical autumnal colour but i like that it is a bit different to the norm. As you can see from the swatches it is highly pigmented, the colour is gorgeous!! There are lots of different tones to this colour but i would describe it as a teal colour,it also reminds me of mermaid like colours, maybe why i love it so much! From the swatch you can also see that the shade is shimmery,it really does look eye catching when it is worn as its not just a simple block colour.

Usually with eye shadows i have a problem with the colour staying on all day,as it often creases, maybe i should wear a primer? But with this eye shadow the staying power was great, there were no creases throughout the day so i was very impressed. The eye shadow can be worn either wet or dry, i wore it dry but i am really intrigued to see how the colour would look if worn wet. If this shade isn't to your fancy there are 22 shades in their whole range of the 24Ore velvet eye shadows, because i love this one so much mainly for its staying power and the highly pigmented colour i'm very tempted to get some more to add to my collection and i would fully recommend this range to you!

What do you think of this colour?Do you own any Debora Milano products?Have you worn eye shadow wet before?

Holiday to Menorca

Bikini - Motel Rocks

 Dress - Zara (old)

 Top - Stay Sick//Skirt - Hollister// Belt - Primark// Sandals - Topshop// Necklace - Primark

Shirt - Abercrombie//Skirt - Hollister

I have just got back from such a relaxing and amazing week away in a place called Cala n Bosch in Menorca with James. We have been in a long distance relationship for over a year since i have been away at Camp America and then an exchange year in Finland so it really was a perfect week knowing we have no more long good byes to come! Anyway, I would really recommend anyone to visit this place, the weather was a bit hit and miss at this time of the year but we had no rain and i achieved quite a nice tan,so i just hope it lasts in time for my birthday in almost a weeks time yey! As you can see the beaches are gorgeous with the perfect turquoise waters which i thought only existed in dreams! The scenery was fab and the food in the restaurants was delicious! It was a brilliant end to the summer and i am very ready to start my final year of university now,let the packing commence!

What do you think of my holiday pictures?Have you visited Menorca before?

Benefit They're Real Review

Hello everyone, and a welcome to all my new followers! I have just got back from holiday today so sorry about the no new posts this last week! But I have lots of exciting posts lined up for you so I hope you enjoy reading!Anyway onto today's post, as I'm sure most of you did i picked this travel size version of They're real up in Glamour magazine a few months ago, there have been lots of reviews on this since but i have only just got round to trying it and it really is love. I've always been fond of trying out lots of mascaras to see which one i prefer and i am currently also using Loreal Paris telescopic lashes which is great but this is a real contender for perhaps my favourite mascara yet!

As you can see i naturally have quite long lashes but the ends are quite blonde so the impact of the mascara is more apparent. The applicator is quite thick to normal ones which i'm not too keen on but it does apply easily,my only niggle is that it is also has a smaller wand than most BUT it does a fantastic job at coating my lashes and its design helps to coat each individual lash meaning that is doesn't look clumpy (like spiders webs).

The coverage in my opinion is fantastic and as you can see in the pictures above,it achieves dark lashes, and as it states on the box 94% of people saw dramatic volume and length,i definitely agree with this however i saw more length to my lashes than volume. I also used my eye lash curler beforehand to achieve more of a lift and the mascara holds the curl like this all day. Unlike some mascaras i have tried you don't end up having specs of the mascara half way down your face or under your eyes. It really is long lasting,it lasts me a full day which means its also harder than most mascaras at removing,so you do need to use a good  eye makeup remover for this.

Overall, i will definitely be purchasing the full version when it has ran out,it helps me to achieve much longer and darker lashes than other mascaras i have tried. You can buy it from Boots for £19.50 which is at the high end but, at the moment they have an offer on where you get the booster set for this price which includes the full size and the travel size which is perfect for travelling and on the go touch ups.

Have you tried They're real? What are your thoughts on this product?

My skin care routine

Despite not even knowing what a cleanser was last year i have tried to get a good skincare routine going now. I suffered from bad acne last year which i have discussed in previous posts, so for me the skincare products i use are cheap and simple but overly effective.  I always fancy trying the more expensive attractive skin care people blog about but they often have fragrances and can cause your skin to be worse than it already was. So, If you suffer from acne/skin prone to spots or have sensitive skin then i cant recommend these products to you enough.
Simple facial wash gel - Most of my skincare includes the Simple skincare products. I started using these when i developed acne last year, i know people will spend a lot more money on skin care than me but I've found something that works,it keeps my acne from coming back, cleans my skin, contains no nasty smells or chemicals,it is simple(excuse the pun) but it works fabulously if you have sensitive skin or just want something that's cheap and it is still just as good as more expensive items.

Simple light moisturiser - I have combination skin and can get quite oily so the light moisturiser is perfect for me,i used this moisturiser while i lived in Finland and my skin was never dry despite the temperature being -30!! It does the job and that's all i want and need from a moisturiser.

Simple cleansing face wipes - I know that face wipes are branded as lazy and not too good to the skin but if i am ever on holiday, had a late night then these are perfect and they remove your makeup quickly and easily, after nights out i used to sleep in my makeup so for me face wipes are the best for a lazy person like me when i'm tired, and again no nasty chemicals in these and they don't irritate my skin.

As you can tell i love Simple skincare and i will never stray from these products to more expensive and fancy items that i must admit look great but i know what works for my sensitive skin, i haven't had acne again since using them and the products are so cheap and often on offer for 3 for 2 at boots that you just cant go wrong!
Aqueous cream - Most people have probably heard of aqueous cream at some point in their life. I use this when i have particularly dry bits on my face and body for that matter. I apply it after my normal moisturiser in the desired parts and usually by the next day my skin is back to normal,i used to apply this all over my face but its so thick that it clogged up my pores so i recommend using this on just the odd patch when and as needed. As for the body its brilliant as a daily or an intensive moisturiser every now and again, its so cheap too at only £1 for 500g tub in Savers!

Skin therapy cleansing lotion - I used to use the simple cleanser but then i discovered this one from Wilkinsons costing only 98p!! Very cheap but it literally is the identical to the simple one,its plain, simple, has no fragrance but it does its job and is really effective at removing my makeup with the aid of cotton wool.
Acne Killer mask - If you've been reading my blog recently you'll now how much of a fan i am of this product, you can read my full review on it here. I use this mask once monthly now that my acne has gone just to prevent my pores from clogging up and the return of it. It is a peel off mask and it is painful, but if you are looking for a quick solution then this is it!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my cheap skin care routine! I am now off on holiday to Menorca for a week yey,but i have lots of posts lined up for you when i am back, and if you have any questions in the meantime i will reply to those as soon as i am back,i hope you all have a lovely week! What do you think? Have any of you tried these products before?

21st Birthday Wishlist

Eeek it's my 21st is at the end of this month,i'm sooo excited but i literally had no idea what i wanted. So compiling a wishlist helped and i have picked out a few things that have really caught my eye so if my family or boyfriend are reading this... take note!

I got my first tangle teezer on my last birthday and its been my best mate ever since,i wonder how i ever tamed my hair before this. They have now released the aqua splash TT which is a lot bigger and is a lot more appropriate for my long hair than the travel size one i have,it is also specifically made for use on wet hair, i do a lot of swim training so this is perfect for me and naturally i want the pink one.

I have never used a brush for my foundation before. From hearing lots of talk about this face brush in the beauty community i think its time to be converted from using my fingers. Along the beauty side of things I've also ran out of my favourite mac nude lipstick - shy girl ,so i quite fancy trying a new one out and Hue looks gorgeous on the swatches i have seen.

Cut out boots are definitely on my list for the upcoming A/W trends. Black ones seem to be everywhere so i fancy being a bit different and i found these white/black ones from Bank they are only £32,so cheaper than the Topshop ones and they look like a dream! The hologram bag i have just fallen in love with, its from New look and its not overly priced,i need this clutch desperately!

Lastly i need a new camera for blogging! I have been using the exact same one this summer as the one above but its my Mums, and the pictures come out so well considering its not a DSLR. I love the quality of pictures on those type of cameras but its too big for me and i would never take it on holiday as they are such a nuisance to carry. This digital camera is the next best thing, its small and at 16.1 mp its pretty good!

I hope you liked my wishlist what do you think of my picks? Do you have any of these?

Too Faced La Creme Colour Drenched Lip Cream

After using the Too Faced bronzer set which i reviewed in full here, i have wanted to try more of their products, its a brand that isn't too well known and isn't sold in any of my local beauty stores,Too Faced can be purchased online from Beauty Bay though. Next on my list to try was one of their lipsticks. I purchased the La Creme Drenched lip cream in the colour Juicy Melons(love the name!) from Sephora in New York, but you can buy it from Beauty Bay for £18.00. As i have said before i love their packaging! The casing of the lipstick is gold with the Too Faced name embossed into the side of it.Juicy Melons is a gorgeous pink colour, its neither nude nor bright pink and i would liken it to a pink coral colour.

The application of it is heavenly,it applies so easily and it is really hydrating so it doesn't leave your lips looking or feeling dry,as it states it is a creme colour and it really is creamy when you apply it to the lips,it has a distinctive gorgeous scent to it,unlike some cheaper makes which have that similar scent. I need to apply this a few times to get a full coverage, the colour does fade after a while when you eat/drink etc but apart from that the staying power is brilliant. I also love how it has a gloss finish which you can see from the above pictures. This lipstick stands out from the crowd for me because of the hydrating benefits, the creamy application and the colour/gloss look win me over. For me personally it is expensive at £18 which is more than you would pay for a Mac lipstick, but you really do pay for the quality here,i picked it up as a treat but i wouldn't normally pay this amount for a lipstick.

What do you think of this lipstick? What Too Faced products have you tried?

OOTD - Monochrome print

Playsuit - Urban Outfitters(old)// Sandals - Topshop// Necklace - Primark// Bracelet - Accesorize

Sadly i think this warm weather might have come to an end now,i wrote this post up on Friday and its been raining ever since! I love this playsuit which i purchased last year and luckily the monochrome patterns are still in trend, its such a comfy and thin playsuit that its perfect for hot days (not today then!). Yes, its those Topshop sandals again!!I really should have bought more shoes this summer haha. Of course I had to team it with my neon accessories as i think it really brings out the colour against the black and white.

Thank you for reading, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, now bring on the autumn outfits! What do you think of this outfit?Do you like the monochrome trend?

OOTD & Day out

Hello everyone i hope you have all been enjoying this unusually glorious weather for September! Making the most of it yesterday i took a a ferry ride over from Plymouth to a place called Mount Edgecumbe which is home to a stately house and such beautiful grounds,i then went on a 7 mile walk(so tiring!) to a beach in Cornwall called Cawsands,it was such nice weather that it was worth the trek and i even topped my tan up,result! Here are a few pictures of my day and what i wore.

Blouse - Vero Moda// Shorts - Levis (customised by me)// Belt - Primark//Necklace - Miss Se;fridge// Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters

This was quite a casual outfit that i wore yesterday but it was sooo hot and i needed to be comfortable on the long walk so that's why you cant see the old flip flops that i wore haha. I love these levis but they are far too big for me now but they look good hoisted up with a belt, i also customised these a while back with studs which i bought i Ebay! I fell in love with this blouse at the start of the summer because i love the dip dye effect of the white and pink. I'm so surprised at how much wear i have had out of my summer clothes this year but i want to start wearing all my winter clothes again now,and long hair and heat in the weather just don't go!

Thank you for reading What do you think of this outfit?

Uni Haul!

I don't know about you but haul posts are some of my favourites to read, it gives you inspiration as well as having a good nosey at peoples purchases! Its safe to say that i am completely obsessed with shopping for uni stuff, whether its stuff to decorate my room with, kitchen ware or bath stuff. You will find me frantically rummaging the aisles of TK Maxx and Wilkinsons weeks months before uni starts in search of the best stuff, so here is what i have been haulin'!

Plastic cups - The range// Heart shaped moulds,polka dot tin - TK Maxx// Princess spatula,mug - Wilkinsons// Cake decoration set - Primark// Straws - Ebay//Food bowls - Athena// Coasters - Present

Here is a selection of the prettiest stuff i have bought for my kitchen, i have excluded all of the basic stuff because i'm sure everyone knows what a plate looks like haha. All of this stuff literally cost me next to nothing, the polka dot tin will come in handy for hopefully all of the cooking i do....I picked the heart shaped cake moulds up from TK Maxx and they are amazing,i think all food looks better when its heart shaped in general! Yes the plastic cups are pretty boring but they are a necessity for student life, the amount of glasses i have had stolen/broken from pre drinks is incredible, this way when people come round i don't have any washing up after either! In the midst there is a few other essentials, a princess spatula is vital for every cook!

Tray - Ebay//Heart blackboard - Hobby Craft// Friends are like stars decoration - Shop in Hitchin (sorry i cant remember the name!)

Candle holder - from Valencia// LED Lights - The Range// Mosaic pot - Wilkinsons

Makeup pot - Ikea// Accessory Hanger - Primark// Photo frame - Hobby Craft

Milk bottles - dotcomgiftshop

I made these hearts myself to take to uni with me,they were so simple to make and just required wire, buttons and flowers from card toppers. Let me know if you want full instructions on how i did it.

Above is my noticeboard at home and its how i will hopefully style the one i have in my uni room! I love noticeboards as you can make them as personal as you want them, with memories, pictures, tickets, inspiration, quotes etc and i find it such a nice thing to look at!

I hope you enjoyed my uni haul post, sorry its so long!! What do you think of my purchases? Are you starting or returning to uni soon?
